The _Business Controller_ for HemoCue is responsible _for performing and overseeing critical financial and operational functions within our organization._

This position is part of the _finance department_ located in _Centurion _and will be hybrid. At HemoCue, our vision is to do things easier, to do things better, and to do them right.

**In this role, you will be responsible for**:
**_ Month End Closing:_**
- _ Execute month/quarter/ year end close processes. _
- _Perform timely monthly GL account reconciliations._
- _ Support FM on Month-end reporting in ERP system_
- _ Payroll preparation and coordination with third party payroll processing firm._

**_ Accounting:_**
- _ Oversee Intercompany accounting activities, including cross charges._
- _ Management of Fixed Assets Register_

**_ Compliance & Statutory Reporting:_**
- _ Co-ordination with internal and external auditors _
- _Prepare tax submissions, payroll tax, VAT, provisional tax and annual income tax._
- _ Drive compliance in all finance related matters._
- _ Support on Balance Sheet Reviews, Compliance audits and SOX audits_

**_ Budget & Forecasting:_**
- _ Monitor actual expenses vs budget._
- _ Preparation of Forecasts_

**_ Other:_**
- _ Lead and drive BBBEE initiatives_
- _ Lead the corporate credit cards program, including capturing of credit card expenses. _
- _Support the debtors collection efforts._
- _ Treasury: Revie_w payments and maintain banking profile for all accounts._
- _ Local HR administrative functions_

**The essential requirements of the job include**:
**_ Education:_**
- _ Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting is essential_

**Job experience & skills required**:

- _2 to 4 years commercial experience _
- BBBEE experience
- _ Thorough knowledge and understanding of accounting principles._
- _ Strong SAGE Pastel experience _

To be successful in this position we believe you have to be highly analytical, display an exceptional level of attention to detail and possess advanced Microsoft office skills. Experience and/or knowledge from the Medical Device Industry and completed SAIPA articles will be advantageous.
