This role is responsible for the market’s demand planning process. The Global Demand Planning template will be implemented in collaboration with the market to ensure the most accurate demand forecasts are generated and demand signals are responded to quickly, improving service levels. Plan availability and accuracy based on statistical baseline and market intelligence gathered from various market collaborators (Finance, BDP, Commercial, etc.). Ensures new product introductions are reflected in demand plans as soon as possible while meeting service, cash, and cost targets. To assist the market Sales & Operations (S&OP) manager in identifying key drivers, opportunities, and risks for market S&OP and ensuring that the outcome is seamlessly integrated into subsequent supply chain planning processes. - Assist in preparing market Sales and operations planning (S&OP) meetings. Notify regional and local customer service of any discrepancies. Improve our supply chain metrics for cost, cash, and services by driving plan alignment and/or forecasting corrections. Standard critical metrics, dashboard, and reporting on forecasting performance. Monitor demand planning metrics and address root causes. Develop inventory and service level targets for existing and new products.
- Coordinate the creation and maintenance of an 18-month rolling forecast in response to a precise planning drumbeat. Ensure the use of the Digital Planning solution and master data to ensure automation. Identify demand plan variations and exceptions. Prioritize root cause analysis and corrective actions. Ensure effective cash, cost, and service phase-in/phase-out management. For all markets and products, ensure that Market Intelligence is collected, integrated, and maintained properly from all relevant partners. Lead business issues and their resolutions. Resolve potential threats and gains.
- Assist in the preparation of market S&OP meetings. Advise regional and local customer service of any discrepancies. Improve our supply chain metrics for cost, cash, and services by aligning our forecasting plans. Metrics, a dashboard, and reporting can track forecasting performance. Analyze root causes to close the biggest gaps in demand planning. Aid in the development of inventory and service level targets for existing and new products.
- Lead product lifecycle with Global Category Team, Regional Customer Service, and Markets. Prepare for new product launches by coordinating plans with partners and assessing their impact on service, cash, and cost. Ensure that the plans are reflected in the market forecast and that they are executed. Compare plan performance to actuals, prior forecasts, and budget.
- Improve the Demand Planning process Improve the forecasting process and tools by gathering business needs and ensuring global reporting standards are met. Assuring quality and compliance with local legislation/regulations by preparing, deploying, and using PMI standard operating guidelines and systems in collaboration with the Centre of Excellence (COE).
- Create standard operating procedures, guidelines, and systems. Ensure the drumbeat process is followed
- Control, reporting, and budgeting: Control the department's budget. Establish clear critical metrics for the Department's performance and drive the generation of ideas/solutions for further optimization, streamlining and standardization
