Our group consists of The Bay Hotel, Camps Bay Retreat and Camps Bay Village in Camps Bay, the Harbour House Hotel in Hermanus, Farm House Hotel in Langebaan and Pezula Nature Hotel and Spa in Knysna.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Bachelors degree in interior design or related field
- Portfolio of design work
- Project Management experience
- Experience with conceptual design
- Highly creative, imaginative and artistic
- Excellent communication skills, especially regarding communicating an artistic vision
- Minimum 2 years experience in the same or similar position in the luxury hotel sector

**Duties and responsibilities**

**Admin**
- Implementation and upkeep of interior design manuals and guidelines
- Sourcing of new suppliers and products and keeping detailed information on the product specification and supplier
- Get to know current supplier network and suggest enhancements when needed
- Give the chairman physical and administrative back-up on interior and design briefs and projects
- Do detailed hand-backs/handovers and handover documents of all briefs where possible
- Conceptualise and draw up plans and design mood boards - implement as needed
- Preparation of board presentations upon being briefed
- Ensure all design and interior changes are communicated to relevant parties and marketing channels

**Graphic Design**
- Assist with the sign off and traffic management of all graphic design related briefs issued by the chairman
- Brief the graphic design team on required items and ensure they meet your deadlines and required level of design
- liaise with the design suppliers in order to ensure your project deadlines are met
- Visit properties and touch points and identify possible weak spots in existing design material and make enhancement suggestions

**Aesthetic**
- Evaluate the sensory experience of the hotels and recommend and implement changes as required and briefed
- Assist with service level training when requested
- Visit the properties on a regular basis and make suggestions / changes to the relevant HOD's as identified, follow up on implementation as approved.

**Interior Briefs**
- Manage interior briefs from moment of brief to final execution and handover
- Create, implement, maintain and train on interior manuals
- Manage the annual interior maintenance programs
- Determine the cost of completion and project requirements in the budgeting phase
- Set and manage a timeline for the completion of an interior design project
- Work with service providers and ensure the best value and retained knowledge achieved

**Office Management**
- Assist with basic office related tasks (meeting arrangements, taking minutes, assisting the office visitors)
- Create and maintain an inspiring workplace for both yourself and the chairman
