Washbay Team Leader

**Description**
**JOB TITLE: WASH BAY ATTENDANT TRAINEE**
The wash bay attendant will be washing logistics trucks daily at a speedily pace and accurately to ensure that the vehicle is clean for its next trip.
- Are a South African citizen
- Have a South African ID
- Have a proof of residence. Must stay in and around Kempton Park
- Have no criminal record. Criminal checks will be done
**Educational Background**:
National Senior Certificate
Experience in a Wash Bay preferable
**Knowledge/Skills**:
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- 3-5 years’ work experience
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Self-motivated and reliable
- High level of customer service
- Performance / Deadline Driven
If you believe that you are up for a challenge, and prepared to work shifts, which might include night shifts at times as well as overnight shifts
NOTE: Must be medically fit and energetic
**JOB SPECIFICATIONS**:
**1. Operational Effectiveness**
- Clean the inside of the Cab
- Clean the Tyres and rims
- Clean the outside of the Truck
- Clean the inside of the Truck
- Replace all washing equipment after shift
- Report any damage to pressure hoses
- Report when soap levels drop
- Scan the truck or trailer that is being washed
- Make sure the pressure hoses are out of the way when the truck leaves the wash bay
- All damages must be reported to the Site Captain / Vice Captain
- Must attend all relevant meetings on site to ensure that safety and operational requirements are met
**2. Technical Effectiveness**
- Compliance with all company and client safety regulations, policies, procedures, standards & specifications, managerial instructions, and memorandums
- Do all quality checks and inspections on the job and fleet as required
- Ensure that tools, equipment, and machinery to be used are in a compliant, safe and workable condition
**3. Housekeeping and Safety Standards**
- Participate in incident investigations and enquiries as required
- Identify and report hazards and defects in the workplace and ensure that they are rectified in a timely manner
- Ensure that cleaning and housekeeping standards on equipment and work areas are maintained according to laid down standards and norms
- Ensure Personal hygiene standards are maintained
- Take reasonable care for own health and safety as well as the health and safety of others
- Wear the correct PPE in accordance with the company policy and procedures
- Keep work areas clean and free from hazards and risks
**4. Teamwork**
- Actively participate as a member of the team
- Performing any other task, not specified herein, which from time to time may be assigned by the manager
Pay: R30,35 per hour
Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week

- Alberton, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
