Application Support and Integration Specialist

Our client, a well-established technology company, who is at the forefront of providing world class payment aggregation and secure payment solutions, is looking for an Application Support and Integration Specialist with SQL skills, to join their growing team in Stellenbosch.

The purpose of the role is to Take responsibility for supportive IT functions that impact client relationships directly, that needs quick turnaround times. The responsibilities may extend to involvement in more than one focus area, for example support, initiation of integrations of Billers and Payment Networks, weekend IT- Support shift work, ad hoc report generation through own designed and modified SQL scripts and monitoring of transaction irregularities in the value chain from Payment Network to Biller.

**Key requirements**
- Tertiary IT qualification.
- 3 Years SQL Experience
- Experience in the MS Office suite, specifically MS Excel
- Experience in MS Access is advantageous.
- Experience in IT Systems monitoring.
- Experience in the Financial Services industry with focus on the payments industry is advantageous.
- Customer Support experience

Additional requirements:

- A stable internet connection is required, however, a fibre connection is advantageous
- Own transport

**Responsibilities include**:

- **Support and stage monitoring of the Biller Integrations**
- Contribute to the recording of all new Biller onboardings in the Control Record
- Performing end to end activities relating to the integration of configuration of billers and networks onto the company platform
- **Participating in IT integration functions that include but not limited to**:

- Capturing of billers on the relevant systems
- Receipt of required documentation from company’s customer relationship managers (CRM’s), via the Onboarding and Integrations workflow.
- To execute the required configuration as per the documentation received.
- Uploading of relevant documents onto the workflow system.
- Assist and guide billers during their implementation and configuration process, especially small billers who do not necessarily have qualified IT staff to manage their integration
- Assisting with and ensuring that QA Testing happens smoothly.
- Identify billers for fees to be loaded
- Assist with configuration and linking of billers to networks prior to pilots being performed.
- Assist with pilot tests and result checking, the recording thereof and filing of results afterwards.
- **Weekend IT Support work**:

- On a roster rotation basis, be available and on call whenever billers or networks need assistance.
- To escalate any suspicious transactions to relevant support teams as soon as it arises
- To generate and distribute the following reports:

- Reconciliations
- Unsuccessful payments
- Open and Outstanding transactions
- Late Reconciled Payments to Payment networks over weekend and public holidays.
- Monitor the IT Support Mailbox and resolve any issues reported. To ensure a quick response to the client.
- Escalate to relevant support teams as and when required.
- **Ad Hoc report generation using SQL**:

- There is a continuous need from users for reports based on data that resides in the company database, Back Office. Access to this data is available online but in predetermined formats. SQL experience is required to extract and provide users with Custom Ad Hoc Reports.
- **Monitoring of transaction irregularities in the value chain from Retailer to Biller**:

- By utilising the monitors in the Operations Department, perform real-time monitoring for failed transactions and overall system health.
- As and when needed, escalate any exceptions and irregularities to the respective department/s for investigation and resolution.
- Identify trends and inform relevant department for corrective action to be taken.
- **Risk & issue management**
- Keep management and relevant departments informed of any potentials risks in order for corrective action to be taken
- Any risks identified to be recorded in the official Risk register as well as the remedy that is/was applied.
- **General**:

- Participate in a continuous improvement process by constantly being on the lookout for opportunities for improvement of our processes and systems.
- Assist with the implementation of improvements once approved by management.
