**What you can expect**

The incumbent will be responsible for inventory levels, materials and services pricing, ensure product suitability and supply continuity for BASF Chemetall. Duties will include the following:

- ** Negotiate pricing for materials and services**:

- ** Monitor pricing to ensure they are not adjusted without notice**:

- ** Liaise with the Procurement Manager and analyse pricing taking action accordingly**:

- ** Keep the procurement RM specification master updated and complete**:

- ** Run daily open purchase order reports to maintain control**:

- ** Assist with creating and maintaining the necessary controls and systems to achieve the company's strategy in respect of BBBEE for the meeting of targets for “Preferential Procurement”**:

- ** Managing inventory levels by ensuring right level of stock at the right time**:

- ** Capture and process reports and information in SAP**:

- ** Responsible for the procurement of chemicals**:

- ** Secure supply which matches the needs of Chemetall for materials and services**:

- ** Ensuring product suitability and continuity of supply**:

- ** Coordinate and negotiate key supply programs**:

- ** Adherence to and compliance with all BASF guidelines and procedures**:

- ** Actively represent BASF Group interests and act as a role model with regards to Compliance and Code of Conduct**:
**What we expect**
- ** Degree or Diploma in Purchasing Management or a similar tertiary qualification**:

- ** Minimum 5 years working experience in the same or a similar position**:

- ** Proven experience in import and export processes**:

- ** Excellent cost and budget management skills**:

- ** Excellent reporting and project management skills**:
