**Additional Incentive**: Annual incentives as announced.

Current Commission: Performance based.

**Description**:
A well-established coatings manufacturer in Modderfontein is looking for the services of a Technical Sales Representative. The Technical Sales Representative is responsible for generating and sustaining new business sales and repeat business whilst maintaining relationship with customers and ensuring customer satisfaction within a geographic area of responsibility. The Technical Sales Representative is responsible for the achievement of sales objectives within the relevant area of responsibility and works very closely with the National Sales Manager. The Technical Sales Representative represents the entire company’s brand and product range. **Market area for sales includes Germiston, Wadeville, Alrode, North Vaal, South East Rand. A key sales focus is on light industrial coating although t**he incumbent will have access to all Company products and can sell into alternate markets. The position requires energy, passion, commitment and the drive to succeed. The Technical Sales Representative is responsible for the daily sales and customer satisfaction activities in the market, ensuring that objectives are met and exceeded and presents our company products and solutions to prospects.

Existing and established customer base within the greater Gauteng area.

**Key Objectives** - Grow the customer base and litre volume.

**Requirements**:

- Ability to operate within industrial and end user environment.
- Own dependable transport essential.
- Must reside within reasonable proximity (preferably East Rand area (Boksburg, Kemptonpark, Germiston, Alberton areas ).
- Strong personality, high energy levels and self-driven.
- Mature and responsible demeanour**.**:

- **Fluent in Afrikaans and English.**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player.
- High degree of professionalism and conduct at all times.

- Excellent customer service orientation.**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Grow the business - grow customer base and grow volume (litres).
- Meet and exceed turnover and litre objectives.
- Maximise product, line and channel penetration and sales in the market
- Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales and financial targets and any additional targets which may be set by the company from time to time (new accounts, non-billing accounts, key products, call activity etc).
- Develop sales action plans relating to product, brand, geographic area and sales channel in order to ensure that set targets are achieved and exceeded (as required).
- Build relationships with buyers, workshop managers and key decision makers / users.
- Maximize sales opportunities using seasonal and special promotions.
- Proactively identify changes in the paint industry and competitive pressures to develop and modify strategies and tactics accordingly.
- Identify new sales opportunities and increase the number and depth of active accounts. Generate new business and rejuvenate lost business.
- Upsell and cross sell products to maximize revenue.
- Have a full understanding of customer needs and requirements.
- Have a broad understanding of the customers industry and business.
- Ensure that specific customer requirements are clearly communicated to the responsible company staff and fully understood at point of order.
- Ensure that the correct pricing is implemented at all customers and ensure the effective roll out of annual / periodic price increases to customers within their geographic area of responsibility.
- Ensure that the pricing strategy and relevant price lists are fully understood and ensure that they are utilised appropriately.
- Be an ambassador of the company’s brands and products.
- Adhere to the internal sales processes and procedures and specified by the company.
- Full understanding of the company’s systems and processes and the management of day-to-day activity relating to customer account
- Ensure that company processes are understood and adhered to at all times.
- Become the main day-to-day point of contact (primary contact point) between the customer and the company.
- Take ownership of all customer problems and complaints, ensuring that they are effectively and efficiently handled and closed
