**Purpose of the Role;**

To undertake the supervision/ managing of daily cleaning services of the responsible areas in line with Health, Safety & Environment Standards, and client scope of work. The supervisor will work with the team or shifts to ensure that the areas/buildings are kept to the highest standards of cleanliness.

**Key Areas of Responsibility.**

The following are key areas of responsibility for the Supervisor:

- Develop operational planning and long-term strategy (quality planning, business continuity, etc.)
- Ensuring correct and through training is given to all employees a on the cleaning products and cleaning roles within their establishment. Copies of all training records must be kept in a training file or safety files
- Organise replacement staff for those on annual leave or out due to sick, FRL leaves
- Ensuring correct levels of stock is held or done and replenish when minimum levels arise weekly
- Organising general housekeeping and cleaning around all areas
- Make sure deep cleaning schedules are adhered and kept up to standard
- Overseeing washing and drying of PPE in the Laundry, including packing of PPE
- Ensure all laundry lists are supplied, filled, and stored accordingly
- Report any HSE deviations to the HSE Coordinator &/or Soft Services Manager
- Ensure that all cleaning machinery and equipment is kept in good working condition, report any faulty equipment to the operations HSE department &/or Soft Services Manager.
- Ensure that good health & safety practices are adhered to, especially in the use of machinery, hand tools and chemicals.
- Ensure that all staff in your team can work within clear health and safety guidelines.
- Ensure that quarterly on-job training is given to all staff (policies, procedures, risk assessments, PTO)
- Handle complaints & compliments in line with your Soft Services Manager &/or Contract manager
- Facilitate daily toolbox talk meetings and archive the records
- Manage the receiving and issuing of the cleaning materials to the staff
- Manage day to day rooster and allocation of staff
- Assist on industrial relations in area; staff scheduling to include monitoring of time and attendance, leave schedules
- Manage the Safety files and Green (Environment) file
- Issue and monitor the weekly checklists
- Comply with routine inspections
- Ensure that all change houses complaint book is signed on a daily basis
- Compile weekly & monthly reports in line with your responsibility
- Undertake any other duties as required from the scope in line with service level agreement
