Machine Operator

Cape Town - Airport City

Salary - R9 000 - R10 000 pm

Overall line responsibility from production to packaging:

- Start / Stop the machine
- Monitor material control
- Perform regular quality control throughout the shift and visual quality checks
- Prepare machine for mould change
- Ensure goods are produced in correct quantity and in accordance with agreed specifications
- Accurately record goods produced and problems encountered during shift
- Ensure team works together as efficiently as possible
- Maintain good housekeeping in and around the machine and within department
- Oversee daily production, supports the plant engineers to ensure machines run efficiently
- Assist the Production Manager in implementing required training for Machine Operators
- ´Responsible for Quality and Food Safety Management when food contact product is produced in the plant. To report any risks identified.
- Ensure on-going awareness of Quality, Food Safety, Environmental and Health and Safety Management

Qualifications:

- Matric/ Grade 12 or equivalent
- Background in Plastics Industry is a must
- Operate and understand polyethylene food wrap experiance is a must
- Basic computer skills
- Demonstrated mechanical ability
- Must have flexible work availability

Pay: R9,000.00 - R10,000.00 per month
