**Position Overview**:
The main purpose of this position is to **provide operational leadership and tactical direction to the security operations function** in the **_Cape Town _**_National Key Point Facility Protection_**_._**

**Key Performance Areas**:

- _Fulfil the team leadership function._
- _Provide input into the _**_National Key Point Facility Protection_**_ security governance documents._
- _Provide operational supervision to the_**_ National Key Point Facility Protection_**_ security teams._
- _Ensure compliance and implementation of policies, procedures, and legislative requirements._
- _Plan and implement special security events held for the facility._
- _Analyse and escalate management information to the manager for decision-making._
- _Provide the security resources in support of the _**_National Key Point Facility Protection_**_ security operations function._
- _Manage the Fit-for-Deployment programme._
- _Implement _**_National Key Point Facility Protection_**_ risk and vulnerability assessment recommendations._

**Essential Experience, Qualifications and Skills Required**:

- A completed** Bachelor degree in Security Management** _or an equivalent NQF7 qualification_.
- A minimum of** **_6 years’ Operational Security experience_** in a **National Key Point Facility Protection**:

- A minimum of** **_4 years’ experience in Operational Security Management_**, including **Security Systems**, **Procedures, Facilities and Personnel**.
- **Knowledge of Security Management** (**facilities protection**), **Facility Operational Security Management** (**security systems, procedures, and personnel**), **Risk Management**, and **Firearm Competence**.
- A **Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) Grade B Certificate**.
- **Proficient in English**.
