**Job Purpose**

We are looking for an ORT Repair Technician reporting directly to the Branch Manager. This is a Local, based in Witbank.

You will be responsible for the repair of OTR tyres.

**Responsibilities**:
Receiving and initial inspection
- Tyre Identification
- Cleanliness
- Injury Identification
- Work planning

Repair Preparation
- Skiving/gouging/shaping
- Evaluation of the injury
- Measuring/Calculating curing times/Patch selection
- Preparing the inner liner

Final preparation
- Preparation cleaning
- Filling rubber/ stitching and shaping

Curing
- Heat pad and Air bag selection
- Setting up the curing system
- Curing/post cure

Final inspection
- Finishing
- Repair evaluation
- Signoff - Job card, repair report

**Job Characteristics**:
The following are important character traits for the ideal Repair technician
- Attention to detail
- Conscientious, thorough
- Cleanliness, and neatness
- Good with hands - work with various hand tools and air tools
- Physically fit - may be required to climb into large tyres or work bending into the tyre
- Good communication written and spoken - must be able to complete job card and basic report writing.
- Ability to learn new skills
- Safety minded

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Min Grade 12
- Previous working experience as an OTR Technician
- Ability to the perform the tasks required.
