Administrator: Setup and Configuration Services

Summary of the position
The Administrator: Setup and Configuration Services will be responsible for performing daily and monthly tasks of the Setup and Configurations team and to ensure that all portfolios and securities are accurately and completely set up on the Apex systems.
An individual is needed with proven industry experience in either asset management or fund administration, with specific security static data experience being an absolute must.
Outline of main duties and responsibilities
The Administrator: Setup and Configuration Services will be expected to:
- Setting up and maintaining static data with regards to all asset types;
- Check and confirm that new static set up/static updates are accurate and complete;
- Setting up and maintaining static data with regards to portfolios/funds;
- Check and confirm that portfolio/fund set up/updates are accurate and complete;
- Prepare & update process documentation;
- Checking of Instruments & Funds created;
- Manage tasks & incident queue;
- Manage SLA deadlines.
Skills and experience required
- A relevant tertiary business qualification and at least 3 years’ experience in Asset Management portfolio administration;
- Strong proven capability with respect to static data practices and processes;
- Strong all-round understanding of the Asset Management and Fund Administration industries;
- Sound knowledge and experience of back office administration processes;
- Confident & enthusiastic, and have a structured approach to work;
- Ability to work in a pressurised environment;
- Knowledge and experience of Decalog (Asset Arena Investment Manager), InvestOne and Xceptor would be an advantage
The Ability to:
- Be discreet when dealing with client information;
- Be self-reliant and capable for independent work;
- Communicate clearly and efficiently;
- Use MS Excel (intermediate to advanced);
- Use MS Word (intermediate to advanced);
- Work accurately and neatly;
- Work methodically and systematically;
- Work under pressure and meet deadlines;
- Work without supervision.
Reporting structure
The Administrator: Setup and Configuration Services will report to the Team Leader: Setup and Configuration Services.
