**R30 000 - R35 000 per month (depending on experience)**

**The purpose of the role**:

- Manage the group payroll - including weekly wages and monthly salaries.
- Own all payrolls in the Group and drive consistency and standardisation

**Qualification and Experience Required**:

- 5 to 10 years’ experience within a similar role ideally from FMCG / Retail Environment (fast paced environment)
- Must have knowledge and experience on Sage 300 People
- Must have worked off numberous payrolls at a time including weekly wages
- Degree or diploma in accounts, HR or Payroll would be an advantage

**Key Performance Areas (including but not limited to)**:

- Receive the monthly clocking for salary staff and enter into the Payroll System.
- Refine and establish payroll policies and procedures and enforce compliance.
- Monitor the time attendance system and ensure that daily exception reports are being reviewed.
- Ensure that the rosters are correct and that the staff allocation per store is correct.
- Ensure the rosters are uploaded to the time and attendance system timeously.
- Ensure that leave, transfers, terminations and other changes are updated on the time and attendance and Sage People
- Ensure new employees are loaded timeously to the time and attendance system.
- Ensure the hours paid to employees on the payroll are correct.
- Keep the time and attendance system fully up to date with all relevant employee details.
- Manage the payroll admin personal and to assist when achieving objectives.
- Maintain the Payroll system in terms of accuracy and completeness.
- Responsible for all SARS submissions (Year-end Reconciliation, monthly PAYE/UIF/SDL submission before handover to finance to effect the payment) and Workmans Comp
- Applications for Tax Directives as and when the need arises.
- Ensure all employees are paid correctly and on time.
- Prepare reports for management.
- Resolve payroll errors.
- Submit reports for UI19 submissions
- Ensure the weekly wages are processed and paid.
- Monitor and document changes to HO payroll.
- Leave management and reporting. Drive through department heads.
- System improvements. Investigate ways to automate processes and clocking/payroll systems
