This entails the advising of the various units in the bank on cross border reporting requirements and liaison with the Central Bank in this regard.**experience and qualifications**:

- 5-7 years’ experience in international banking or regulatory exchange control, in dealing with SARB Excon department, and in dealing with Cross Border Reporting department via a 2nd Line -Risk & Compliance department or 3rd Line being Internal Audit.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and the Internet.**additional requirements**:

**responsibilities**:

- Ensure overall accountability and adherence to the South African Reserve Bank cross border reporting requirements for the FirstRand Group which includes: RMB Corporate, Forex Product House, FNB, Rand Merchant Bank, FirstRand Treasury.
- Responsibility to ensure that, internationally, all cross border payment systems used by our subsidiaries comply with the reporting requirements as outlined by the Central Bank in the country we operate in i.e. Central Bank of Namibia, Central Bank of Swaziland and the Central bank of Lesotho. The function is one that operates from a Group level.
- Drive industry reforms relating to cross border reporting in conjunction with the SARB and the Authorised Dealer community, such as 1FinSurv.
- Liaise with Central Banks, i.e. South African Reserve Bank, Central Bank of Namibia, Central Bank of Swaziland and the Central bank of Lesotho, we operate in regarding all items pertaining to cross border reporting.
- Take ownership and responsibility for responses of all internal and external audits findings resulting from SARB on-site Audits and GIA (Group Internal Audit) findings, as well as addressing concerns raised regarding cross border reporting.
- Responsible and accountable to Internal and External stakeholders iro the formal responses to SARB Audit findings in the prescribed format and timeframe.
- Develop and coordinate the delivery of plans to put in place cross border reporting activity where it is otherwise absent or unsatisfactory.
- End to end ownership and sign-off for the introduction of new Cross Border products, requiring a high level of engagement with internal and external stakeholders such as the Head of BOP Reporting and Exchange Control. The same applies to significant enhancements and services which will have a cross border reporting impact.
- Responsible for Monitoring the KHI (Key Health Indictor) analyse Reject Rates & Delayed Reporting and raising breaches formally with appropriate Business Units, second line (Head of Risk & Compliance).
- Consistently maintain industry leading cross border reporting standards.
- Responsible for Updating and ensuring the improvement of the Cross Border SLA ‘s with our IT Partners as well as the Brands within the Group, including maintaining all the cross border processes according to FirstRand standards.

- compliance issues via Firstrand Risk & Compliance Department., this applies to the escalation of non compliance issues in South Africa and CMA countries. Oversight Responsibilities:

- Provide specialist 9SME) advice and support to internal and external stakeholders including liaising with SARB.
- System Health Check - Cross Border Reporting System - Liaising with SARB iro rejected batches, long outstanding batches.
- Monitor the accuracy/ integrity of data submitted from upstream systems/ Business units and report data quality issues to the FirstRand Governance structures.
- Monitor the receipt of data from various source systems across the bank and produce weekly cross border reporting dashboards to all System owners on deviations from the SLA iro Rejects, Delayed Reporting and any SARB audit requirements.
- Monitor the transmission of such data to the SARB and escalate the non
- submission to Development Manger in FXPH (IT Partners) as well as the Head of Balance of Payment reporting for escalation purposes were required.
- Monitor rejected transactions and the management and control of rejected transactions by the business units and escalate High Reject rates and Delayed Reporting with business unit.
- Provide adhoc SME assistance to business units on Bop related matters.
- Liaise with the SARB on Bop issues e.g. compile data to the SARB off-site and on-site audits and formally report back to the SARB on issues raised in audits conducted by them.
