**Responsible To **:Housekeeping Manager

**Scope and General Purpose of Job**:
To assist the Housekeeping Manger in the smooth and efficient running of the housekeeping department ensuring that all the policies and procedures outlined in the departmental operations manual are strictly adhered to.

**Main Duties**:

- Ensure the housekeeping room attendants provide exceptional service to the guests.
- Handles all guest internal customer service to internal customers complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to ensure problems are resolved satisfactorily.
- Ensures function rooms and toilets are clean before commencement of function.
- Reports lost and damaged items.
- Reports and follow-up on repair and maintenance work.
- Conducts checks on public areas, F&B outlets, offices, toilets.
- Plans and schedules periodic works such as, carpet shampooing, and high dusting.
- Ensures scheduled periodic works are carried out.
- Assist in performing pre-setup for V.I.P. arrivals.
- Responds to the results of the Consumer Audit and ensures that the relevant changes are implemented.
- Ensure that training with the room attendants are conducted through ongoing feedback and assistance at departmental meetings.
- Assigns duties and responsibilities to Housekeeping Attendants.
- Works with the Manager - Housekeeping to prepare weekly work schedules, making sure that they reflect business needs and other key performance indicators.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- 2-3 Years’ experience as Housekeeping Team Leader
- Grade 12
- Microsoft office package:
Excel - _intermediate _

Word - _Intermediate_

**Systems Knowledge**
- Opera - Advantageous

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Housekeeping: 1 year (required)
