**We are seeking a “Live In” Hotel General Manager for a permanent position based on the Wild Coast, Eastern Cape**

**Applicants are required to meet the following criteria**:
***
- **10+ years’ experience in the Hotel industry of which at least 5 years’ experience as General Manager**
***:

- **Experience with hospitality systems such as Apex & Knightsbridge**
***:

- **Experience with OHS Act and hospitality standards and procedures**
***:

- **Must have contactable references**
***:

- **A working couple would also be considered**
***:

- **Good communication skills with Dutch / German language ability advantageous**
***:

- **Please note that this is a Live In role**
***

***

**The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to**:
***
- **Manage financial procedures and maintain correct and competitive pricing**
***:

- **Ensure all debtors / accounts are recovered and review / authorize creditor payments**
***:

- **Interpret reports, review management accounts and ensure budgets are achieved**
***:

- **Monitor product and labour costs, and ensuring budgets are adhered to**
***:

- **Control and manage food and beverage costs**
***:

- **Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of rooms**
***:

- **Maintain high occupancy levels and look for areas of opportunity for increasing occupancy**
***:

- **Meet with client and plan conventions, banquets and functions**
***:

- **Ensure front office is effectively coordinated and that customer complaints are resolved**
***:

- **Ensure food / beverage service is maintained and ensure regular stock takes take place**
***:

- **Create awareness on all Social Media and update regularly**
***:

- **Answer all online booking queries within 2 hours**
***:

- **Attend all local travel meetings, expos and be aware of all local events**
***:

- **Prepare yearly sales / marketing strategy and visit local agents and clients**
***:

- **Liaise / network with tourism products / industries to negotiate discounts**
***:

- **Monthly reporting and arrangement of tourism grading council inspections**
***:

- **Manage staff attendance, shifts, performance and identify / implement training needs**
***:

- **Interview and hire staff and ensure adherence to disciplinary code**
***:

- **Submit salary information to Head Office**
***:

- **Ensure Safety Officer complies with hotel procedures, emergency training, unsafe situations and OHS Act**
***
