Bar Manager

**PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION**
Our Restaurant is situated in Gardens, Cape Town. We are currently seeking a passionate Bar Manager. We are looking for a customer-orientated, charismatic leader with a sense of urgency and high attention to detail, to manage the Bar operations on a day-to-day basis.
**BAR MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE**:
- To ensure that beverage stock movement is correctly and accurately tracked; as well as captured
- To ensure end of service cash-ups completed
- Co-ordinating special requests and extraordinary tasks
- Ensure a customer satisfaction check of every customer within the outlet; dealing with any concerns; and by personally checking quality of both service and product on a continuous basis
- Ensure the rostering of staff to meet the operational needs of the business ensuring service standards are met while being cognisant of the labour costs
- Monitoring and reporting cover counts and average spend trends
- Actively proposing promotional ideas on a regular basis as well as actively driving the sales and upselling culture of the Bar to ensure an exceptional guest experience and the financial health of the business
- Personally driving all on-the-job training within the Bar
- Maintains the highest level of sanitation throughout all bar areas
- Ensures also that all bar staff comply with companies’ policies and procedures concerning:
- Accountable to maintain adequate operational inventory of all items necessary to provide the level of service in accordance with company standards.
- Carries out bar liquor and bar item stock take as requested.
- Prepares requisitions for bar stocks, liquor, food, etc.
- Keep a very high profile at all times and is accessible to assist with guest and employee problems.
- Responsible to ensure that the highest levels of wine, cocktail and beverage service are delivered to all customers in all bar areas.
- Must know how to operate all equipment in the bars.
- Must have extensive knowledge of wine and beverage products/service and cocktail presentation and preparation techniques.
- Assist with all other services as requested management.
- Must possess good oral and written communication skills of the English language.
- Strong knowledge of bar inventory systems and P.O.S. systems
- Responsible for the overall continuing cleanliness of the places of work.
- Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
**REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS**:
- Must have at least 3 years as a Bar Manager
- Good understanding of Bar Managing
- Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook, Word and Excel
- Experience at operator level of a Point of Sales System - exposure to Micros advantageous
- Experience at operator level of a Stock Management System
- Highly presentable
- Solid English verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work flexible hours, weekends and holidays
- Knowledge of the highest level of customer service
- Looking for highly professional individual, friendly and well groomed
- Good Command of English
- Good Financial acumen required

Reliable Transport is required.
**Salary**: R0.01 - R0.02 per month
