**Front Office Manager**
**The successful incumbent will be responsible for the following**:
- The acquisition and maintenance of guests
- Maintains working relationships and communicates with all departments
- To manage and oversee the daily operation of the Front Office, Reservations and Housekeeping Departments
- Leading, training and motivating of staff
- Ensure that the necessary training is scheduled to meet and maintain departmental standards
- Maintaining the required operational and service standards
- Be involved in the recruitment process of departmental staff for Front Office, Reservations, Housekeeping and Maintenance
- Guest comment management
- Handling and resolving guest queries and complaints
- Ensuring that the “O” status for the department is kept to a minimum
- Operate the hotels property management system
- Planning of monthly departmental rosters and completion of monthly payroll documentation
- Various aspects of administration
- Effective communication is maintained by attending and hosting meetings as required
- Handling of all disciplinary requirements
- Perform duty manager shifts as required by the business operations
- Implementation and management of the hotels quality plan in conjunction with the GM
- Fill in as acting Hotel Manager in the absence of the GM
- Serves on hotel committees as determined by the GM
**The following are the requirements**:
- ** Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar position**:
- A high level of leadership and motivational skills
- Must be guest and service driven
- Must be trustworthy
- Be prepared to work shifts, weekend duty manager and overtime
- Good planning and organizational skills
- Be able to supervise staff, evaluate performance and maintain training files
- Time management is of absolute importance
- Computer literacy (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Opera knowledge
- Ability to work accurately under pressure
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Positive attitude
- Matric Certificate
- National Diploma in Hospitality Management or similar qualification would be an advantage
