**Position: Senior Scientist: Chromatography - NRL Esoteric**

**AREA: CENTURION**

Our very well-established client is looking for a SENIOR SCIENTIST that Specialise Analytical Techniques. Technical experience with the focus on method optimization & troubleshooting. Technical training of analysts. Methodologies (Chromatography & Spectrometry)

**Requirements**:
BSc Hons/ MSc/ PhD (Chemical Pathology/ Biochemistry/ Pharmacology) (required),

Registered as **Medical Scientist**/ Intern Medical Scientist (**Clinical Biochemistry) with the HPCSA** (required)

**Required Experience**:
**5-10 years relevant laboratory experience**,

Advanced experience in **Chemical Pathology** / Special Chemistry Laboratory techniques & methods, Advanced experience in relevant laboratory procedures, instrumentation, training & troubleshooting (**Chromatography & Spectrometry**)
- LC-MS-MS
- GC-MS
- HPLC
- ICP-MS

**Key Responsibilities**:
Assist with Laboratory Accreditation in order to ensure best practices are upheld.,

Maintain good laboratory practice in order to ensure a clean and safe work environment.,

Method development, validation & optimization in order to ensure continuous development in new and improved laboratory processes.,

Oversee and assist with daily operations in the sections including training in order to ensure efficient processing of specimens.
- Technical training of analysts, Perform administration tasks in order to ensure effective administration systems in the laboratory., Use laboratory computer system in order to ensure accurate processing of specimen requests and to provide assistance with result enquiries.
