- This role is a Team Lead for the Production Support Team
- Macro environment
- Engage with the macro-environment to look for new opportunities, capabilities and trends that would add value to the team
- Business alignment
- Analyse business processes relevant to portfolio/platform and logically map and update current technologies to process requirements
- Ensure that processes and controls are aligned and conform to FirstRand Bank’s policies.
- Identify alternate technologies and recommend solutions where feasible i.e. automation opportunities
- Test and identify where service gaps would exist should different technologies be applied to the same process or where business process changes would not be accommodated by existing technology capabilities
- Coordinate the delivery of services, operational activities, and defined projects, in such a manner that satisfies agreed business stakeholder needs
- Monitor and ensure stand-up’s, prioritization and scheduled meetings are attended
- Monitor releases and ensure UAT and post-implementation testing are done and signed
- off.
- Analyse and monitor SLA’s and provide management and business with dashboards
- Incident Management - engage with IT, liaise with IT and manage business expectations
- Vendor management
- Supervise and co-ordinate relationship with relevant vendors including contract amendments/ issues and/or dispute resolution
- Consolidate and interpret relevant vendor data and build reports detailing vendor performance and potential concerns
- Strategy development and deployment
- Monitor team alignment to the various IT and business strategies and ensure that team action plans and tasks can be mapped/ aligned to strategic objectives
- Manage, enforce, and monitor compliance of the processes in the team and adherence to a mínimal risk-based approach.
- Risk and compliance
- Design a risk plan, mitigation and implement recommendations to enhance Risk awareness and to prevent any exceptions (audit findings/losses/potential gaps)
- Continuously verify/revise risk management approach to ensure BT continuity, efficiency and service delivery
- Project management
- Provide relevant information to inform the accurate scoping of a project or programme
- Coordinate and monitor defined project activities; allocation of tasks to resources (internal or outsourced) to activity areas
- Managing people
