**Legal and Corporate Governance Manager**

**About**

One of the largest private Medical Aid companies in SA. They have been established for 20 years and are striving to be #1 in SA.

**Purpose**

Provide comprehensive legal support and advisory services to the company. To manage the compliance program and reviews all legal and compliance issues/concerns within the company. To assist the Executive with risk management and manage litigation and governance for and on behalf of the scheme. Assist with policy development in line with legislation.

**Responsibilities**
- Maintain supply chain and contract management
- Risk management
- IR Management
- Mapping of critical processes to enhance efficiency
- Implementation of compliance findings
- Provide legal and corporate governance advice to all stakeholders within the organisation
- Draft and vet all legal documents including letters, TOR's, contracts, opinions, research papers, reports, etc
- Manage and review litigation progress with management and external attorneys.
- Assist in providing the necessary governance support to staff and other relevant stakeholders.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 5 years Legal Managerial experience
- LLB Qualification with Membership to Compliance Institute or similar body
- Medical aid industry / Insurance or relevant industry advantageous

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Pretoria, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Bachelors (required)

**Experience**:

- Legal and Corporate Governance: 5 years (required)
