**Job Advert Summary**:
**PURPOSE**:

- Provides project and enterprise architecture leadership within Information Management Team.
- Accountable for Information Management Projects Portfolio.
- Accountable for enterprise architecture landscape.
- Support Group Manager: Information Management with strategy development and integration to business strategy.
- Information Management Portfolio optimisation and integration: continuously review the performance of IM portfolio and architecture working with IM stream leaders and business leaders.
- Benchmarking IM strategy performance against industry peers and take charge of formulating and execution of action plans in collaboration with respective business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including respective heads in the business to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, ensuring alignment with business needs and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with business on bringing efficiencies through research and development.

**MAJOR CHALLENGES**:

- Technical complexity related to multiple current fragmented systems.
- Navigating complex stakeholders’ dynamics, fostering collaboration, buy-in and driving collaboration between Exxaro Information Management and its eco systems.
- Driving agility and change by challenging the status quo, fostering culture of adaptability and embracing changes in business strategy and emerging technologies. Manage resistance to change with stakeholders. Communicate complex technical concepts effectively in a clear and concise manner to diverse stakeholders fostering understanding and alignment.
- Ensure capital excellence by ensuring portfolio budget is managed as per IM strategy and adhere to financial compliance.
- Drive cost management and budgetary control within IM Portfolio and architecture.
- Managing limited cross functional resources with pressing priorities.
- Data and operating systems alignment.
- Evolving cybersecurity and business continuity threats.
- Evolving business context as we continuously identify opportunities for growth that will require intensive technology due diligence and business integration efforts.

**Minimum Requirements**:
**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- BSc (Hons) Computer Science (Essential/Minimum or)
- B Degree (Hons) (Relevant) (Essential/Minimum)
- Certificate Project Management (Essential/Minimum)
- Management Development Programme (Essential/Minimum
- Master of Business Administration (Recommended/Desirable)
- Certificate ITIL Foundation (Recommended/Desirable)

**EXPERIENCE**:
10-12 years Proven experiences in leading with innovative strategies and drive transformative change in the information management landscape. Proven leadership and visionary experience in heading enterprise architecture. Proven experience in establishing Project Management office and leading transformational and complex projects. Extensive experience in leading design and deployment of new enterprise solutions. Understanding of mining value chain. Demonstrate overall management of Information Management priorities, portfolio oversight and pipeline planning, project delivery, quality management, decision making and talent sourcing.. (Essential/Minimum) Management

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Cert Open Group Architecture Framework (Recommended/Desirable)
- Certificate of Fitness (Essential/Minimum)
- Psychometric Assessment (Essential/Minimum)

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
**Best Practice and Knowledge Management**
- Ultimate accountability to the business for single source for truth around demand and pipeline
- Accountable for IM Projects risk management
- Implement and maintain standard of quality programs, programme and portfolio management ensuring continuous improvement
- Responsible for relevant governance forums to educate and ensure compliance in line with Enterprise Architecture framework, principles, and standards
- Involved in IM governance forums for advisory purposes
- Drive standardisation, simplification, and fit-for-purpose Enterprise solutions.
- Implement process and system enhancements to improve Portfolio in IM function.
- Implement Business Improvement (BI) principles within IM.

**Budget and Resource Allocation**
- Manage and ensure optimal use of budget allocated to Portfolio and architecture
- Authorise finances based on delegated signing authority

**Enterprise Architecture Competency and Capability**
- Aligning IM Strategies with Exxaro business strategy.
- Support the development of the IM Strategy.
- Set Architectural vision and direction aligned with IM strategy.
- Develop and maintain long term view on enterprise architecture.
- Provide architectural and strategic consulting.
- Adopt and Communicate an Enterprise Architecture Framework.
