**PURPOSE OF THE JOB**:
This position will serve as the lead HR Business Partner for National Functions as well as managing the Head Office business operations. The incumbent will be responsible for participating in the development and implementation of strategic business plans in partnership with the various functional leads while driving strategic human capital imperatives relating to culture, coaching, performance management and alignment to the balance score card at organisational, functional and employee level.

Key responsibilities include execution of talent strategy, support to the Human Resources Director (HRD) and the leadership team at McCain, execution of all core process for designated teams (PDR, calibration, compensation practices, talent armouring, on-boarding, learning and development programs), development and execution of the capability agenda for teams, meaningful pipeline strategy that intersects with the McCain SAF transformation and strategy work that is in flight.

The position also acts as a part of the connected team of HR resources that are embedded within the business, providing advisory support as it relates to workforce and strategic talent planning, HR program development, and the implementation of HR initiatives. This position is expected to deliver on driving the Commercial (Sales & Marketing ) and Corporate function organisation’s (Finance, R&D, Supply chain, IT and Procurement) end-to end People agenda in line with organisations winning culture strategy.

**KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS**:

- Responsible for maintaining and driving HRBP relationship with McCain Leadership Organization.
- Drives day-to-day HR support across a population of over 600 professional employees spread across South Africa.
- Responsible for execution of HR talent strategy including pipeline development, campus program, intern program, execution and delivery of annual core PMP process, development and execution of capability program, focused strategy on retention of key talent.
- Collaborates and drives work product cross sector for key talent discussions, talent reviews and people planning.
- Understands the culture within the team and proactively works on developing the culture and engagement across all stakeholders.
- Leads labour relations for Functions and National Office.
- Leads large scale transformation execution for McCain SAF functions and National Office.
- Partner with business by proactively gaining insights and developing solutions for the business
- Deploy/implement the HR policies and internal rules in full compliance with compliance with local regulations and laws.
- Contribute to organisation design by taking a leading role in implementation and change management.
- Contribute to the production of workload charts to improve forecast accuracy of resource requirements and optimise resources across the locations.
- Determine the workforce planning resources requirements for McCain functions inclusive of talent management and workforce planning.
- Manage the recruitment process directly in coordination with the line managers, to fill all open vacancies in a timely and effective manner.
- Manage the HR at McCain functions and the delivery processes. Set goals, priorities, and tasks and targets based on business need, and monitor performance.
- Interpret HR and business challenges to develop appropriate HR responses.
- Driving innovative methods of engaging with the sales organisation.
- Provide input for quarterly and annual business planning, and outlines resourcing and “people” implications/ considerations.
