**Job Purpose**

To drive competitive agility, competitiveness and sustainability of the NAR cluster by supporting the Exec Head of Finance to drive strategy and manage the operational aspects of the finance function across the NAR cluster.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage the end-to-end finance deliverables for the cluster
- Liaison with Group Finance Control, Group Tax, Balance Sheet Management and Central Shared Services areas through execution of tactical and operational financial management processes and activities.
- Ensure Compliance and finance controls are implemented and well established across the NAR finance function.
- Manage design of processes, systems and controls by ensuring adherence to standards, timelines and budgets.
- Manage finance teams across NAR’s functional efficiency, productivity and sustainability by integrating and streamlining the engagements, interaction and flow of financial information between subsidiaries and the Centre.
- Manage all monthly reporting, including Regulatory reporting, as well as any ad hoc analysis or reports that may be required from time to time.
- Manage the 3-year planning and forecasting process.
- Manage the year end and interim results process, including liaison with external auditors.
- Achieve stakeholder service/deliverable excellence by identifying strategic opportunities and ensuring subsequent stakeholder support.
- Build and maintain relationships with subsidiary finance teams and other key stakeholders by being a values driven leader and strategic business partner.
- Leverage relationships with external stakeholders/industry bodies through engagement and collaboration.
- Lead and participate in the execution of specified deliverables, initiatives, programmes and projects for NAR and the Nedbank Group that may arise from time to time.
- Build synergies through collaboration by identifying and facilitating cross-functional opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiencies, enable innovation and enhance revenues.
- Improve resource utilisation by ensuring functions within portfolio are aligned internally within NAR and the broader Nedbank environment.
- Mitigate financial and reputational risk by participating in the end-to-end crafting and delivery of world class risk processes and practices and by continuously enhancing processes, practices and tools.
- Adhere to accounting standards, practices and policies of both the regulatory framework and of the Nedbank Group.
- Ensure high quality of financial and management reports, schedules and information is maintained in accordance with relevant Group standards.
- Contribute to Nedbank being the most transformed Bank by enabling accelerated transformation and positioning of the cluster

Minimum Experience Level

7 years financial management in financial services sector and 5 years managing others.

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level
- Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
- Professional Qualifications/Honour’s Degree
