**Description**:
**Allied Talent Partners** (ATP) is a marketplace that connects experienced professionals and climate experts, locally and globally, to climate-related projects **in emerging markets and developing economies, with an initial focus on Africa. Our project-based work focuses on climate-related infrastructure (e.g., utility-scale solar & wind), platform businesses (e.g., rooftop solar, e-mobility, energy efficiency), governmental and regulatory bodies, power and water utilities, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), donor agencies, and consulting firms.
**ATP builds upon a proven model** that has been applied in the US and Europe. These talent marketplaces help a client scope a project, breaking down work into a set of deliverables to be completed in a discrete amount of time. They then connect independent workers to fixed-term projects, representing a new and efficient way to get work done. ATP’s model leverages global trends in the way that work gets done, building more flexibility and autonomy into the market, and channelling people to work on interesting, mission-critical climate and energy projects.

ATP is an early-stage, non-profit entity, looking to build and scale our operations and presence across the African continent.
Today, ATP has 7 FTEs based across Nairobi, Lagos, Johannesburg and the US.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Role Description**:
Allied Talent Partners is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented, and resourceful Prospecting Specialist & Business Development Coordinator to play a vital role in driving client acquisition and supporting business development efforts. Reporting to the Head of Business Development, this role combines strategic outreach, content development, and administrative coordination to ensure the smooth execution of ATP’s business development initiatives.

This hybrid role is based in **Nairobi** or **Johannesburg**, requiring a minimum of three days in the office per week.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Prospecting and Outreach (Core Responsibility)**
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential leads by identifying and researching key contacts across targeted sectors.
- Collaborate with the Head of Business Development to refine outreach strategies and tactics to maximize conversion rates.
**2. Content Development and Customization**
- Support in developing and updating tailored business development materials, including presentations, case studies, and sector-specific content, for use by the Business Development Leads during client engagements.
**3. Event Coordination and Support**
- Support in the preparation, execution, and follow-up for business development events such as conferences, networking forums, and workshops.

- and post-event materials, and maintaining a detailed record of outcomes and follow-up actions.
**4. CRM Management and Data Integrity**
- Ensure the CRM system is regularly updated with accurate contact details, meeting notes, and lead information to enable efficient tracking and follow-up.
- Generate reports on prospecting and business development activities for team review.
**5. Market Visibility**
- Support the Business Development and Marketing teams in leveraging of additional channels to expand ATP’s reach, such as posting on newsletters, websites, professional forums and paid advertising campaigns.
**6. General Business Development Support**
- Provide administrative and operational support to the business development team** **as needed, ensuring smooth execution of daily activities and long-term initiatives.
**Skills, Knowledge and Expertise**:
**Qualifications**:
- **Education**:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- **Experience**:
- 3-5 years in a prospecting, sales, marketing, or business development role.
**Technical Skills**:
- Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and marketing tools.
- Strong familiarity with social media platforms and digital outreach strategies.
- Competence in Microsoft Office and presentation tools.
**Communication Skills**:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, with the ability to craft compelling outreach messages and presentations.
