To plan, direct and coordinate milling operations and site by overseeing the HOD team responsible for sustained cost effective and efficient milling operations in line with the requirements of the Milling strategy, budgets and high-performance culture (The Premier way).

To ensure a high performing team and innovative thinking culture through leading and managing and coaching the HOD team to optimise performance in line with the “Commitment of leaders of teams” and the Premier way.

To drive cost effective and efficient operations through:

- ensuring the adherence to budget and financial targets
- compliance to group standards and international food standards,
- adherence to all management SOP’s and controls,
- participate in all internal and external audits
- reviewing audit reports, financial reporting and other performance data to measure goal achievement,
- identifying areas needing cost reduction, improvements or corrective action.

To ensure operational excellence through the management of outsourced service provider performance in line with agreed service level agreements.

To ensure consistent top-quality product for our bakeries and customers consumers by implementing and maintaining the quality management and food safety management systems

To ensure optimization of full value chain of operational processes through:

- the planning and coordinating of people, process and equipment
- maintaining and protecting site equipment and
- ensuring optimal productivity in line with the full capacity of the plant.
- asset management on site and ensuring effective maintenance best practices
- leading or participating in CIP projects as needed

To ensure 100% service level to all customers by maintaining proper buffer management.

To foster development of milling talent and ongoing improvement of people capacity by identifying and development of successors and ensuring functional competent workforce

To unlock future growth and earn the right to operate in our communities by:

- building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders (customers and suppliers)
- building mutually beneficial working relationships with local municipalities through ongoing engagement and CSI projects.

To ensure effective health, safety, environmental and risk management as well as compliance by:

- advocating a health and safety culture
- implementation and adherence to all Health Safety Environmental and Risk management policies, procedures and practices
- ongoing awareness and training
- implementing waste and loss control practices
- ensuring legal compliance.

**Qualification Requirements**:

- Qualified Miller SAGMA/ GMF or equivalent (Essential)
- LSS Greenbelt (Essential)
- Lean Champion (Desirable)
- Manufacturing Academy Certificate or Leadership/Management Certificate equivalent (Essential)
- Advanced OSHACT certificate (Essential)

**Experience Requirements**:

- Milling Production Manager role (Min 5 Years)
- Or Milling HOD (Min 5 Year) with Milling qualification
