The Department of Psychology in the Faculty of Community and Health Sciences has a growing reputation as a leading educational provider for undergraduate and postgraduate professional Psychology programmes. The Faculty of Community and Health Sciences is seeking to permanently appoint a Lecturer within the Department of Psychology.
Teaching and learning at an undergraduate.
- Teaching and learning at a postgraduate level on Psychology Honours and Masters Psychology programmes.
- Research supervision of Psychology Honours level students.
- Research supervision of Masters level research if they hold a PhD.
- Clinical and psychometry supervision of Masters level students if they hold an MA in Clinical/Counselling Psychology and have three years post registration experience.
- Participation in research, curriculum development and staff development.
- Developing industry and academic partnerships.
- Engaging in community outreach.
- Responsible for administrative duties within the Department, Faculty and the University.

**Minimum Requirements**
- A Master’s Degree in Research Psychology or Clinical/Counselling Psychology or Neuropsychology or a Master’s degree in general Psychology (i.e., MA Psychology or M. Soc.Sc in Psychology).
- Postgraduate research supervision experience at least at Honours level.
- Experience in undergraduate teaching.
- A record of successful peer reviewed publications.
- Added advantages
- Registration with the HPCSA in the category of Research Psychology or registrable with the HPCSA in the category of Research Psychology.
- Registration with the HPCSA in the category of Clinical/Counselling Psychology and three years’ post-registration experience.
- Possessing a PhD in Psychology or progressing with a PhD.
- Experience in post-graduate teaching.
- Experience in research supervision at a post-graduate level.
- Experience in clinical and psychometry supervision if registered in the category of Clinical/Counselling Psychology.-
