**Position**: _Contract Manager - Sandton_

**Reporting to**: _Project Manager_

**Qualifications/ Experience**:

- _Relevant Degree Level in Business Management, Law, Engineering or Procurement_

**Minimum Requirements**:

- _You will have completed a Degree in any Technical, Project, Procurement, and related field._
- _5-7 years working experience in major construction projects._
- _You will have proven experience in leading and directing all contractual aspects of executing projects, including risk assessments, as well as managing the company’s various registration documentation, certifications, construction permits and renewals._
- _You will have sound knowledge of Power Purchase Agreements, EPC Contracts, O&M Agreements, and stakeholder reporting._
- _You will show exceptional leadership skills, as well as being able to work in a cross-functional team to ensure successful handover of the project within the allotted deadlines and time frames, be results and solutions orientated._
- _You must have a valid driver’s license, be able to travel between_
- _A clear criminal /credit record and contactable references are essential._

**Responsibilities**:

- _Negotiate, develop, prepare, review, implement, process, track and provide fiscal and administrative oversight of contracts._
- _Manage contract process, contract claims, approve and review contract payments to ensure compliance with contract terms; and provide related technical assistance._
- _Working with and supporting the Project Manager to deliver these schedules driven, high profile, business critical projects. The EPC Contract Manager role is responsible for developing appropriate contracting strategies and leading the successful execution of the resulting Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) contracts ensuring the contracts are delivered on schedule and on budget and meeting the performance criteria._
- _The primary purpose of this role is to represent the company and manage the EPC Contractor and other Company Suppliers ensuring that all parties deliver on their obligations regarding E&HS, Specification, Quality, Schedule, Performance and Price._
- _You will work closely with Project Managers, Legal Commercial Managers and provide commercial and risk support to ensure successful delivery of these contracts and ultimately the project. This will involve engaging with a variety of internal departments to successfully run these contracts to the expected outcome including Legal, Risk, Engineering, Construction, Operations, Procurement and Transportation._
- _Negotiate terms with vendors or customers that satisfy all stakeholders, manage relationships with other agencies, and maintain correspondence with partners on behalf of an administration._
- _Manage contract documentation selection, population, collation and compilation._
- _Assist with contract resolutions adjudications, arbitrations, and legal proceedings._
- _Draft and submit correspondence incoming and outgoing._
- _Assist with claims preparation and responses._
- _carry out all reasonable and lawful duties assigned to him by the Line Manager. This includes duties not normally associated with the Employee's specific position or job description._
- _during the agreed hours of work, devote his full-time attention, skill and ability to fulfilling his job description and to furthering the interests of the Employer;_
- _Observe the utmost good faith towards the Employer and the highest of corporate ethics;_
