This truly global business is based in 45 countries and works across more than 110. It has multiple R & D Centres and production sites. The local business services South Africa and Southern Africa and is one of the most respected Subsidiaries in the Group due to its entrepreneurial, innovative and customer centric approach. The SA Company imports most of its products from various fellow Subsidiaries overseas where the main manufacturing plants are stationed but also has a small manufacturing facility on site. This key vacancy will report into a very experienced and knowledgeable Business Unit Manager who manages multiple Business Units. He is also a Vet and will be mentoring the new appointee for career growth opportunity within the local Company although there also are opportunities internationally. The Key Accounts Manager will be focussing on 3 separate sectors and the mandate is to ensure maximum penetration in the market place through development and implementation of the Business Plan to maintain sustainable relationships with key customers. The focus will be to improve the health of the customers animals which include Vets & Vet Wholesalers, Co-Ops, Wholesalers and Feed Lots (Farmers).

Key performance areas, inter alia, include:

- Customers needs, relationship management and market penetration develop & preserve effective business relationships with key decision makers; develop a robust Key Accounts Plan & Brand Sales Forecast with the Client; ensure ongoing communication to all key stakeholders.
- Drive customer satisfaction which will include carefully listening to customer feedback and problems which will include diagnostics and problem solving. In addition, negotiate contracts where applicable.
- Monthly reporting using sophisticated spreadsheets as well as Powerpoint presentations including aligning results with Companys strategy. This will include presenting sales results and tracking sales by use of graphs as well as the use of business key performance indicators and reviewing progress, projections and graphs as well as trends in their niche market.
- Develop annual sales forecasts and key action plan to meet the forecast, provide annual expense plan and track expenses together with variance reports. In addition, it is expected that the KAM will make impactful presentations to the customer base which includes Vets, Farm Owners and similar which must include a value proposition that will satisfy the needs of the customers and be financially viable and sound.
- Use the Companys CRM system with the assistance of a CRM Specialist to aid in communicating with customers, obtaining valuable data and information, doing projections, E marketing, this will include the Companys product range - prescriptive medication, OTCs, vaccines and similar.

**Requirements**:

- Qualified Vet or B. Sc. Agric or related degree and not less than 5 years Key Account Management experience in the animal sector.
- Leadership, negotiator, influencer, able to listen and provide solutions including having diagnostic ability, able to think quickly on ones feet and synthesise complex information, have commercial and business sense.
- Able to easily create meaningful business relationships which include superior interpersonnel skills, be assertive and self-driven, have clinical skills as well as strong Excel including Pivot Tables and Powerpoint presentations experience.
