The porter works to ensure that all guests arriving at the hotel is welcomed with a smile and assists all guests with their luggage in a professional manner and ensuring guest vehicles are parked and retrieved safely, always providing the highest level of guest service, and additional requests and duties not limited to the above.

**Minimum Experience and Qualification Required**:

- Grade 12
- Valid Driver’s license with PDP and clean driving record
- Proven experience as a driver, preferably within a hospitality or similar setting
- Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and local traffic laws
- Excellent communication in English (Verbal and written)
- Solid understanding of front of office environment
- Additional Foreign language (beneficial).
- Must be willing to work shifts.

**Key Performance Objectives**:

- Render the highest level of courtesy and service to Hotel GUESTS even where such services may fall beyond the incumbent’s main duties or scope of this position,
- Assisting the guest with their luggage,
- Assists departing guests with their luggage and engaging with them regarding their stay,
- Parking and retrieving guests’ cars as appropriate, securing the keys behind reception in the safe
- Provide courteous and efficient transport services for guests, including transfers.
- Maintain the cleanliness and proper functioning of the lobby, entrance, and vehicles.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during transportation.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and transport activities.
- Provide information about the hotel’s facilities, local attractions, and services.
- Managing the porter’s cupboard,
- Responsible for storing baggage and parcels and other items,
- To be proactive in Front Office, housekeeping and food and beverage,
- Must communicate with guest and be able to answer any questions about the hotel and surrounds,
- Setup of pool areas as well as restaurant terrace,
- Maintain cleanliness of back-office coffee station and ensure that it is set up daily,
- Ensure that the welcome drink station is set up daily,
- Ensure that the tennis court is set up with water, towels, and chair cushions,
- Ensure that all cushion at guest terraces, restaurants, spa, and pools are stored before the end of the late shift,
- Setup guest terraces by ensuring that all lounges and cushions is set up, and
- Ad hoc functions like room service orders, housekeeping duties, and cleaning of public areas.
