**Key accountabilities**
The day to day duties of an Innovation & Insights Consultant at Black Swan are as follows:

- Responsible for the day to day management of the project
- Works with senior colleagues to resolve any logístical problems that arise
- Supports Senior colleagues in the management of the client relationship
- Start to build a rapport and personal relationship with the client
- Conducts both data-led and qualitative analysis to a high standard
- Takes insights from sizeable datasets
- Supports senior colleagues in the facilitation of both consumer and client groups and workshops
- Ask relevant questions and lead parts of the discussion
- Reporting and presentation of key insights
- Presenting to clients
- Leads the acquisition and processing of data with the Data Insights team
- Understands the data process
- Flag any issues to more senior colleagues and delegate to more junior colleagues where appropriate
- Can support senior colleagues in devising creative solutions to clients challenges
- Understand the business challenge and industry context behind a client brief
- Contribute to farming and new business efforts
- Assist in the pitch process, be it through helping to define methodology or writing parts of a proposal
- Work as part of the team to share ideas

**Required Skills**:

- Relevant experience in qualitative and quantitative analysis
- Understanding of how to build robust research programmes delivering consumer testing, consumer insight and innovation planning for global brands
- A passion for developing new solutions and challenging the status quo
- An interest in new emerging research techniques and the potential in data and technology
- An ability to generate ideas, to understand and spot business opportunities
- Experience in analysing and interpreting digital data sources such as social media
- Excellent eye for detail
- Ability to express thinking coherently
- Feels comfortable and confident with consumers and clients
- An understanding of how to use qualitative questioning to get to deep and meaningful insight
- Skilled at using Powerpoint to present work in a professional and visually compelling way
- Confident in presenting in front of clients
- Solid project management skills and the ability to multitask
- Flexible and able to adapt to change
- Comfortable with creativity and numbers
- Able to bring in fresh ideas and thinking from different perspectives
- Able to work both alone when needed and collaboratively with other team members
