**Job Purpose**:
Taking control of the transport costing (primary and supplementary). Ensure quality, proactiveness, and very high levels of communication to 3rd party Service Providers, internal staff and management. This role is the back office function for transport responsible for ensuring that all transport costing (buy/sell) data is updated in cargowise to ensure correct invoicing and accruals.

Matric

Logistics related post matric training would be an advantage

**Experience**:
At least 2 years experience in Transport Logistics preferably imports.

A sound knowledge of seafreight, import procedures and documentation.

Have an understanding of logistics and transport costs.

Mathematical acumen to work with figures.

Have thorough working knowledge of shipping documents.

Have experience of working on Excel and Word documents.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Handling of Transport Data capturing in Cargowise**

1) Calculate and complete transport costing in CW (TCB) as per individual client’s agreed transport rates.
2) Prepare costign for Invoice out import files (supplementary logistics and transport charges) as per client’s agreed rates and ensure all 3rd party charges have been accounted for.

**Basic Financial and calculation knowledge**

1) Ensure transport and depot/ warehouse (where applicable) charges are recovered

2) Updating of transport costing statistics

3) On-time resolution of logistics financial queries (WIPS and Accruals)

**Communicate clearly with 3rd parties and more senior team members**

**To consult regularly with Import client controllers with regard to problematic shipping documents or queries.
