Professional Officer - Architecture

**Requirements**:

- BTech or first degree in Architecture, recognised by SACAP
- Minimum two (2) to five (5) years’ relevant experience required
- Registration with the South African Council for the Architectural

Profession as a professional architect.
- Knowledge of: National Building Code, Housing Act and other

applicable legislation, NBR, NHBRC and SABS 0400 Standards.
- A valid Code EB driver’s licence.

Key Performance Areas
- Provide professional architectural services towards the inception

and concept design of small scale, less complex development

initiatives of line departments.
- Provide professional architectural services towards the detail design

development, documentation and procurement.
- Provide professional architectural monitoring services towards the

implementation to ensure the capital asset is created.
- Undertake specialist studies, assessment, analysis and services not

forming part of standard SACAP services suit.
- Facilitate the participation of relevant stakeholders in the

identification, development and approval of architectural guidelines

and design proposals for capital projects.
- Facilitate the implementation of architectural initiatives, processes

and systems.
