I&J, a leading company in the FMCG manufacturing sector, is seeking an accomplished **Human Resources (HR) Executive** to provide strategic direction and leadership to its HR function. **About the Role**
As the HR Executive, you will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless implementation of HR strategies, policies, procedures, and compliance with legislation. Your role is crucial to optimizing human capital performance and delivering value-adding HR services that align with both strategic and operational business unit goals. **Key Responsibilities**:
**Relationship Management**
- Build and maintain strong relationships with unions and effectively represent I&J in disciplinary hearings, CCMA proceedings, wage negotiations, and consultations.
- Manage union negotiations and industrial action matters.
- Establish and attend statutory committees and HR/employee forums to foster collaboration.
- Partner with the Executive team to ensure the HR operational plan is aligned with business functions.
**HR Operational Plan**
- Develop and implement an HR roadmap that considers future trends, strategic direction, and legal requirements.
- Oversee business planning for HR, including policies, procedures, and processes.
- Drive employee engagement and culture change initiatives.
- Lead performance management, training, and leadership development programs.
- Oversee capacity planning, labor control, HR information management, and communication.
- Manage talent, including succession planning, industrial relations, and the HR budget.
**HR Business Partnering**
- Align with the Executive team to ensure successful execution of HR initiatives and seamless service delivery.
- Provide expertise on business-driven projects, and offer guidance on people costs and headcount forecasting during the budgeting process.
**People Management**
- Set annual performance objectives for the HR function, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Foster a high-performance culture and manage departmental performance against agreed metrics.
- Coach and develop the HR team to ensure legislative compliance and effective policy implementation.
- Manage the annual HR expense budget in coordination with the Finance team.
**Governance and Transformation Reporting**
- Develop and review internal controls, policies, and HR business processes.
- Prepare statutory and annual governance reports.
- Lead the transformation and BBBEE agenda, and drive Employment Equity targets.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote diversity to support transformation goals.
**What We're Looking For**:
- ** Experience**: Minimum of 15 years of HR management experience, with at least 5 years at an executive level in an FMCG manufacturing environment.
- ** Qualifications**: A completed degree in HR or Industrial Relations, plus a relevant postgraduate qualification.
- ** Knowledge & Skills**: Expertise in HR strategy, policies, legislation, people management, aligning HR with business strategies, and financial management.
