WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a New Business Development and Communications Intern who will be responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The incumbent will be energetic, inquisitive and initiative
- driven while assisting and coordinating Internal Communications and graphic designing, amongst other duties assigned by the department. The role offers an opportunity for growth and learning through exposure to a wide variety of Marketing and Communications within - but not limited to - the Business Development and Communications Department.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Collating and updating the events calendar
- Graphic Design and Photography
- Writing Media statements and articles
- Social Media Management
- Render communication support to other departments
- Events Overview Presentations
- Branding of Corporate Gifts.
- Corporate Gifts Inventory
- Managing Events Store room ( Sourcing and Managing Stakeholder gifts/ Marketing Material)

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
- A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Communications or other related areas of study
- Strong interest in the media, news and current affairs
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, must be able to interact with people on all different levels and most importantly, build relationships
- Must be well versed in internal and external communications
- The individual must be comfortable with public speaking
- Must be able to meet deadlines, be a self-starter who works independently and as part of a team
- Good planning and analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure and be flexible, as there will be required of you to work overtime.
- Have excellent content and creative writing skills and research skills
- Ability to multi-task and be highly organized, as well as have an eye for detail and thrive in a fast paced environment
- Be a positive thinker, who is self-motivated and a hard worker
- Have a professional demeanour and be capable of representing our company in public at all times
- Be able to handle high levels of confidentiality, be reliable and trustworthy
- Will be required to travel from time to time
- Have a valid driver’s license
