**The services of a Grants Manager with contracts experience is required by an organisation in the health services sector.**

**Responsibilities**
- Act as the liaison between Project Managers, Partners, and other internal support departments. - Ensure all donor reports are submitted as required.
- Assist with initiation and administering the yearly contract and sub-award modifications and approvals.
- Assist the project managers in developing annual budgets, work plans and proposals.
- Assist in new grant proposals and submissions, providing financial and technical information where appropriate. Compliance
- Ensure sub-recipients and contractors comply with terms and conditions in the signed contracts/sub-awards.
- Assist with initiation and administering yearly contract and sub-award modifications and approvals.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all USG and other Funder Rules and Regulations.
- Implement changes within the projects to address non-compliance issues.
- Keep abreast with changes/updates within funding agencies and ensure that new policies and procedures are disseminated to the relevant departments.
- As and when required, attend training sessions on new developments that are specific to the programme/projects. Programme Management Support
- Review monthly project expense reports vs budget with the Project Managers and implement effective strategies to maximise “burn rates” and project deliverables.
- Assist the Project Managers in preparing budget justifications for acquiring restricted or other goods that require upfront approval from funders.
- Assist project staff in the preparation of other periodic reports in terms of funder requirements. Capacity Development
- Ensure that projects are adequately staffed and assist in identifying training requirements & needs.
- Assist in providing internal capacity development of Project Managers in terms of funder requirements, budgeting, and financial management. Any other tasks as agreed with line manager.

**Qualifications and experience**:

- BCom / BCompt Degree / Financial Management or relevant Tertiary qualification.
- 5 years Management experience preferably in Grants & Contracts.
- Knowledge of donor grants and the Non-Profit sector (desirable).
- Sound knowledge of financial accounting policies and procedures.
- Project Management experience.
- Proficient in Pastel Evolution or other ERP
- Sound knowledge of Subrecipient Management.
- Sound knowledge of Corporate Governance Principles and Regulations.
- Proficient in all MS Packages-PowerPoint, Word (Excel advanced).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical and detail orientated.
- Time management and deadline driven.
- Ability to analyse and interpret financial data.
- Ability to operate in a dynamic environment.
- Valid driver’s license and willing to travel as and when required.

**Salary**: From R800,000.00 per year

- Bachelors (required)
