Needs to have knowledge and understanding of various Commercial products - in depth knowledge.
- Needs to understand Commercial Lines product requirement. Various Insurers and products, Commercial, Agriculture, Engineering and Hospitality.
- Needs to understand and have knowledge of how the Commercial Lines Industry works. The trends eg. Auto Rating etc.
- Logical thinker
- In Dept Knowledge of Excel,(Microsoft Office)
- Prepare quotations in accordance with standards, policies and procedures.
- Support Business Development Consultants.
- Attention to detail and written communication.
- Ensure that all documentation is possessed accurately and correctly.
- Open to change
- Not afraid to investigate and learn new skills.
- System Knowledge.
- Ensure all quotations and documentation is checked and authorized before dispatched.
- Ensure timeous and accurate management of mail count.
- Ensure you keep to the Insurer treaty limits ensuring we are not over exposed.
- Not afraid to speak to Brokers and or Insurers.
- Maintain service, quality and desired outputs within a specific functional process.
- Adhering to compliance
- Align own behavior with the organization culture and values.
- Be able to recommend suitable cover when quoting.
- Process discounts within mandates.
- Ad-hoc duties and special projects.
- Ad-hoc assistance to your team as and when required.
- Attend meetings as and when required.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Matric
- RE5
- FAIS fit and proper
- Relevant underwriting experience
- CPD Hours
- Must not be debarred with FSB Experience in the financial services industry or short-term insurance industry (preferable)

Work Experience

**Minimum Requirements**:

- At least 3 years’ experience in Commercial Underwriting/Quotations
- Must have experience in various commercial products - Comm, Agri, ST, Engineering etc.
- Be able to handle a portfolio of approximately 600 Brokers.
