- Job Description:_
- The Technical Training Assistant is responsible for coordinating and facilitating staff and customer technical training needs and for the planning, organizing and overseeing appropriate training initiatives that enhance our employees and customers technical/product knowledge and skills. _
- Requirements:_
- _ An Electrical Engineering/Related qualification_
- _ 2+ years training coordination and facilitation experience_
- _ Experience in a Solar/Renewable Energy environment(non-negotiable)_
- _ Registration as a Skills Development Facilitator would be advantageous_
- _ Basic understanding of B-BBEE and EE principles_
- _ Expert in MS Applications, specifically MS Excel_
- _ Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc.)_
- Responsibilities:_
- Technical Training Assistant Tasks_
- _ Coordinate training for new hires and existing employees on our product portfolio._
- _ Deliver hands-on, instructor led virtual training sessions for internal and external stakeholders._
- _ Maintain expert level knowledge of our products, installation, and service best practices._
- _ Monitor product confidence levels amongst the Sales and Technical team._
- _ Continuously create and update documentation related to product training._
- _ Schedule post training activities, measure and monitor competencies._
- _ Conduct technical evaluations (product testing) and or engage in external technical training evaluations with 3rd parties._
- _ Support the Marketing and Events team to effectively plan and execute technical training events._
- _ Keep abreast of industry best practices and ensure alignment between the training programs and overall company vision._
- _ Supporting all departments, particularly the sales and technical team in terms of improving their product knowledge and answering customer queries._
- _ Be a spokesperson for all training activities and aid to represent the company in all training activities to all stakeholders._
- _ Communicate and engage with clients and line managers to establish training needs._
- _ Participate in the development of a learning culture._
- _ Participate in the implementation and monitoring of Technical Internship/Learnership programs._
- _ Gather information and comply with all statutory reporting to the relevant departments within prescribed deadlines._
- _ Consolidate and update technical training register on an ongoing basis and ready for reporting purposes._
- _ Ensure that all training is done in conjunction with the companys B-BBEE and EE requirements._
- _ Monitor and report on deviations from technical training and development plans._
- _ Plan for identified technical Learning interventions._
- _ Design a training schedule that considers business requirements (and maintain calendar)_
- _ Co-ordinating projects as assigned by the Technical Product Trainer_
- _ Carry out any other ad hoc tasks as required and within reason._
- Stakeholder Relations_
- _ Build and maintain trust relationships with the Management Team, Colleagues and Customers to ensure specific targets are met._
- _ Work as part of the Technical Training Team to ensure a smooth Learning workflow._
- _ Work collaboratively and engage with key Stakeholders to achieve specific targets._
- _ Strive to maintain an ethical Team environment._
