Position: Regional Post Investment Associate: Kwazulu Natal - Temps X2 (6 - 12 months fixed-term contract)

Reports to: Post Investment Manager

Outputs

The primary role is to conduct post investment due diligence and monitoring of all investments in the company's portfolio
- To provide and facilitate technical assistance and mentorship to all investees
- To conduct enterprise valuations and exit transactions successfully
- To turnaround distressed businesses that have good potential to succeed
- To conduct effective portfolio management to reduce the portfolio risk of the company
- Ensure proper governance is adhered to by investees.
- To maintain CRM (customer relationship management) with all existing investees

Technical Skills/ Competencies

Technical:

- Minimum B.Com. Degree with specialization in Accounting and/or Business Finance or a CFA or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a deal making/investment environment.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in managing a SME and or Private Equity environment.
- Sound working knowledge of key commercial statues and regulations (Companies Act, Taxation, Corporate Law, Insolvency Act).
- Good understanding of the investment process
- PC literacy and competency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of the company's mandate, investment and post investment guidelines.
- Understanding of enterprise valuation and exit valuation methodologies from a post investment perspective.
- Good communication and presentation skills to present post investment reports to the various committees for approval.

Knowledge and Expertise

Essential
- Completed articles or have strong audit experience
- Experience in corporate finance, private or quasi equity finance environment
- Good working knowledge of key commercial statues and regulations (e.g. Taxation, Companies Act, Commercial Law, Litigation and Insolvency Law)
- Financial modelling
- Ability to analyse and interpret financial statements
- Conduct enterprise valuations and exits
- PC: MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint competency at advance level.

- Graduate degree - minimum B.Com. (Business Finance, Accounting), CFA or equivalent
- At least 3 years investment and or post investment experience
