**Role Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Maintains buildings and facilities including lighting, plumbing, painting, and building repairs by visual inspection and MRV system.
- Conduct monthly site inspections.
- Responsible for general building cleaning and maintenance.
- Repairs and replaces floors, stair strips and piping as needed.
- Repairs and paints doors, windows, walls, ceilings, rooves and other parts of the building.
- Ensures contractors complete tasks satisfactorily and follows up on any deficiencies for corrective action.
- Maintains waste and recycling receptacles around the facility.
- Manages the quarterly clearing of the rejects store with the assistance of casual labor.
- Assists the Tech Services department with ad hoc tasks when required.

**Role Experience and Qualifications**:

- Experience installing and replacing plumbing systems.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a same or similar role
- Ability to safely use common power and hand tools
- Basic plumbing, electrical & mechanical skills
- Ability to work well with others, including contractors
- Good communication skills
- Self-starter with good time management skills
- High work ethic, dependable and strong attention to detail
- Good planning and problem-solving skills
