Fulltime Supervisor/handyman for Residential

Rental Management Company in Northern suburbs of Cape Town requires an experienced, hands-on fulltime supervisor/handyman all-rounder for supervision and maintenance of our client’s rental properties.

This is a fulltime independent contractor position;
- Honest, trustworthy and reliable
- Good all-rounder that takes pride in your work and attention to detail
- Driver’s licence and clean criminal record
- Must have own reliable bakkie (fuel re-imbursement provided)
- Own tools will be an advantage
- Good problem-solving ability and can-do attitude

Duties include;
- Supervise contractors, handymen, cleaning staff and casual assistants
- Maintaining efficient workflow and use of resources
- Assist with inspections and identifying/drawing up snags lists
- Obtain quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers and estimate labour man-hours required for the job
- Placing of orders and collection of material
- Assist with transport of staff to various properties as may be necessary
- Ensure refuse bins for the complexes are put out and brought in on Bin Days, and maintained in good clean condition
- Ensure the complexes grounds/garden/grass is kept neat, tidy and clean
- Control of materials
- Security and Access Control Management
- Liaison with tenants and processing and attending to issues

Handle general handyman work yourself as operations may require;
- Painting
- Basic plumbing (fix leaks, change taps etc)
- Basic electrics (change light bulbs, fittings, switches, plugs etc)
- Basic carpentry (fit cupboard doors and shelves etc)
- Basic tiling
- Basic welding also would be an advantage
