Who are we?
Up for a new challenge, feel you can make a difference? The Claims Department is looking for an enthusiastic individual to lead the Claims Motor Assessing department to oversee the effective operations including Broker/Direct/Digital assessing for Personal and Business Insurance. This individual will further manage new initiatives and system developments for Assessing to improve and/or contribute on the overall loss ratio initiatives. What will make you successful in this role?
Grade 12 (Essential)
Related tertiary qualification in related field (Essential)
Professional member of the Vehicle Damage Quantification Body of South Africa (VDQ) (Essential)
Qualified Panel beater
Qualified Spray painter
Minimum 5 years Motor Assessing experience essential in short term insurance
Minimum 10 years Motor Assessing Management experience essential in short term insurance
Minimum 5 years Commercial Claims and Assessing experience
Experience in budgeting and finance management including staff remuneration, Loss Ratio / Risk Management / Contingency planning
Minimum 5 years Panel beater experience Deliverables include, but will not be limited to
Managing average claims cost and total claims value chain
Ensure efficient service quality standards and turnaround times in assessing
Managing average repairs costs in assessing - parts, paint, etc.
Ensure service delivery to clients and brokers are within acceptable ranges
Manage MANEX efficiently
Reporting on Assessing from an operational aspect
Formulate department strategy
Continues improvement and efficiencies
Decisions relating to day-to-day operations within the Assessing department
Redefining processes and procedures to optimize Assessing efficiencies
Tracking & monitoring of TCF (Treat Client Fairly) principles & outcomes
Operational decisions will be made independently and governed by internal policies and procedures within predetermined mandate Competencies Required
