Main Duties include:

- Ensure that the commercial and governance requirements are adhered to during the sourcing and contracting activities and align with Group Commodity Strategy initiatives
- Support the development of business cases; cost modelling, identify and report savings opportunities and achievements; solicit and evaluate supplier proposals using benchmarking and cost reviews
- Manage the business review process with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure that market trends, supplier performance, supply risks and future business needs are aligned
- Ensure effective relationship/stakeholder management towards business/markets.
- Actively support the supply market and process knowledge and expertise in the area of continuous improvement and sourcing intelligence development
- Lead the supplier development and selection strategy for assigned commodities in line with BBBEE and localisation requirements
- Effectively engage Technical; Engineering; Project Services and Operations Teams to execute and fulfil on project sourcing requirements for assigned commodities while optimising cost, quality and cycle times through TCO leverage

Criteria:
Procurement/Logistics/Supply Chain Management (NQF6), Diploma or Degree
Member of Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply advantageous
5+ years experience in Strategic Sourcing and/or Category Management
in a leading Global or SA company
Exposure to CSR and Responsible Sourcing requirements
Have a collaborative, self-starter work ethic
Data analytics advantageous
Computer literate (MS Office, Google Suite)
Competence with ERP software, especially Oracle/JD Edwards or SAP
