Our client, a multi-national gold company with operations in West Africa, is seeking a Group Health, Safety & Security manager to lead, plan and drive Health, Safety & Security (HSS) across the organization and foster a robust safe workplace culture to meet business needs.

**Responsibilities**:
Train and provide support for site safety managers
Ensure that appropriate safety rules and standards are enforced on sites
Chair and lead the monthly HPI meeting
Utilise business knowledge and detailed analysis to make good decisions
Identify, assess and manage risk
Oversee the regular review and implementation of robust and fit-for-purpose Safety Management Systems ( Integrated Management System) and develop and review Company Policies, Standards and Procedures as required to ensure a consistent high level of standard and performance across the group
Assist site management to ensure operations are conducted in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and company code of conduct
Develop and implement the HSS strategy and high-level annual plans for the entire business
Undertake compliance reporting for the Board and Executive
Oversee and report on three-year audit cycle for RIMS standards
Coach the senior management team to ensure deep understanding of their HSS responsibilities and the business benefits of robust HSS strategies
Oversee review and report to Executive on all ICAM investigations
High Risk Training - development and implementation
Employee training and verification of competency (VOC) vs contractor VOC
Develop, improve and maintain security standards for site and employee travel
Meet regularly with site security managers and do risk assessments
Communicate and co ordinate security with nearby mines to mininse the risk to operations

**Requirements**: Qualification and Skill

Relevant tertiary qualifications in OH&S, Security or equivalent
Qualified ICAM Lead Investigator
Risk management diploma/degree or relative experience
Extensive (10+ years) experience relevant, safety and security experience preferably in mining or resource/heavy industry
Coordinating aviation system audits
Coordination crisis and emergency management
Dissemination of regional security intelligence to stakeholders
Ability to make decisions under pressure
Prior International site experience
A proactive self-starter attitude and ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
High level of personal drive
