**The Role**

We are looking for a Senior Systems Administrator to build out and run intranet and Internal IT Helpdesk functions serving the global MFS Africa group of businesses. This is a senior role responsible for ensuring secure and frictionless access to and use of (dozens of) software tools within the business. You will report to the Director of Organizational Effectiveness and liaise closely with the Director of Engineering, Research & Development as well as company wide stakeholders.

In addition to owning an intranet solution, Confluence and the Atlassian tool suite you and your team will run general systems administration across 365, SharePoint, Slack, and others. You need to be comfortable crafting, implementing and maintaining the standards of group wide internal IT strategies that include single sign on, user access management, hardware and software registers, etc.

This role requires skills in the deep functionality of Sharepoint, Confluence and Jira / Jira Service management and the attention to detail, capability and organisations skills to maintain the SSoT. You also need people management and generalist Systems Administration experience. As we’re a rapidly scaling fast-paced business you need to be willing and able to wear many hats We encourage you to bring your best strategic thinking and help us build this right.

Regarding the Atlassian tools, you need to be familiar with blueprints as well as be able to write custom scripts and run them for bulk updates, rollouts and implementation.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Own and manage the permission and access structure on various systems
- Maintain the user groups according to movers, leavers and joiners as well as maintaining a current log of access across the business. Adding, removing, and updating users and user access rights across platforms
- Create and maintain a clear picture of the information architecture across the business
- Own the Generalist Systems Administration function in the business
- Manage a team of junior systems admins, knowledge manager, and content creator to create review processes to ensure that pages are archived and updated by the assigned owners. Generally doing what is needed to maintain the integrity of company tools & systems
- Engaging with various content creators and contributors across the business to create and maintain relevant templates and up-to-date information
- Managing the creation of new spaces and maintaining a logical and coherent information architecture as we grow as a business
- Maintaining the linkages between our SharePoint and Confluence Instances
