**PURPOSE OF THE JOB**:The Monioring & Evaluation Manager will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating initiatives, programs and projects, both new and established, providing accountability and ensuring efficiency and success from start to finish. S/he will be responsible for establishing, modifying and monitoring key performance indicators to report and record physical progress for specific programs and projects.

**KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS**:
**PI Reporting and Evidence Collection**:

- Implement a reporting system for the collection and verification of performance information across the organisation.
- Ensure adequate programme performance improvement intervention studies.
- Using established M&E Metrics, conduct reviews pertaining to Strategic Planning and Reporting
- Monitor and evaluate strategic thrusts
- Implement and participate in program and project progress evaluation, survey and program follow up in order to advise and recommend tools and strategies to increase program performances and results.
- Collect data for various trend analyses of performance reporting.

**Information Management**:

- Manage all companies' PI and related information and ensure ease of recovery and accessibility.
- Ensure the quality of data collected, and verify the accuracy of reported data.

**M&E and Business Planning and Reporting**:

- Implementation of management of performance information framework (Government Wide M&E Framework)
- Liaison with Strategic Planning and Reporting to establish M&E indicators
- Monitoring and evaluation of strategic thrusts
- Conduct Trend Analyses of performance information reporting
- Implement Organisational Performance Reviews
- Engage in:

- Monthly and Quarterly Compliance Reporting
- Annual Performance Reporting

**Administration**:

- Implement the information management system specific to Performance information reporting.

**Stakeholder engagement (internal)**
- Foster effective communications and ensure appropriate relationships are maintained with relevant stakeholders and agencies;
- Adhere to reporting timelines throughout the organisation
- Cultivate and promote good corporate image;
**Organisational effectiveness**:

- Maintain a sound, effective departmental structure;
- Manage organisation's compliance activities to achieve statutory requirements.

**MINIMUN QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS**:

- Bachelors degree in a related field

**RELATED MINIMUM EXPERIENCE**:

- 5 years experience in organisational performance, at least 3 years experience working in a multiple public sector agency.

**KNOWLEDGE**:
**The incumbent requires**:

- Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act and other relevant legislation
- Knowledge of Corporate Governance legislation and frameworks including the Companies Act and King 3
- A very good understanding of the relationships between the IDZ and its shareholder and strategic external stakeholders
- Good understanding of State Agencies operations
- Comprehensive understanding and experience of forecasting, budgeting and financial management.
- Knowledge of national and provincial government priorities and impact on IDZ priorities;
- Knowledge of political, economic and social aspects relating to the Gauteng province
