**_ Position Purpose:_**

The Manager: Monitoring and Evaluation will be responsible for all impact reporting pertaining to the Foundation including the

timelines for each portfolio’s reporting as well as managing data integrity from project reports. This role will also be
responsible for the output of the annual reports of the Foundation and evaluations of the effectiveness of impact data for

further strategic advisory. One of the main functions of this role will be building in accountability through targeted Key

Performance

Indicators for programme managers to measure the outcomes and impact of all projects per portfolio.

**_ Position outputs:_**
- Manage and ensure that there is a sustainable approach to the measurement and management of impact of all the Transnet

Foundation projects per portfolio.
- Guide the strategy of the portfolios based on all outcomes data to ensure suitable project responses are being pursued and

a correlation between budget spend and impact is always reached
- Provide oversight of the reporting process and ensuring effective data collection, collation, storage, and reporting in line with

timelines to produce annual reports and respond to annual internal and external audit requirements.
- Oversight of compilation and publishing of the Transnet Foundation Annual Report
- Develop a reporting tool for internal and external stakeholders - ensuring adequate data is available for quarterly, monthly,

and annual reports
- Perform due diligence and risk assessment on Transnet Foundation projects
- Manage the Foundation’s impact management structures by building and implementing effective monitoring and evaluation

(M&E) systems that can help mitigate risks and help projects target more efficient implementation
- Develop monitoring and evaluation indicators specific to Transnet Foundation projects for effective impact monitoring
- Inform strategy of Foundation projects using data outcomes for better strategic alignment to community needs Build

processes and mechanisms for tracking, providing oversight control, implementing trend analyses and documenting progress
- of programme interventions
- Overview of the focus on inputs, outputs, outcomes, the implementation processes, and continued relevance of all portfolio

projects
- Monitoring the responsiveness of Transnet Foundation projects to relevant community needs identified by stakeholders

through community forums and platforms such as the Sponsorship and Donations Committee
- Engage the CSI Fund and Fundraising Portfolio Manager to implement and plan annual communities of practice

conferences for the Transnet Foundation
- Create tracking tools to report on Employee Volunteers
- Provide additional oversight of Project Administrators across all Portfolios as they administer the data capturing and

management of all projects
- Evaluation and assessment of programme performance across all portfolios to create reporting mechanisms for internal and

external stakeholders
- Ensure effective reporting of project impact across the portfolio - integral to supporting the Transnet Foundation Annual

Report especially leading the drafting, approval, and publishing of the submission of the final Annual Foundation Report

- Bachelor’s degree in social sciences
- 8 - 10 years’ experience in CSI environment
- 3 - 5 years management experience
