Vacancy: Sales Representative

Location: Durban

Job Scope:
Sales representatives forms our primary point of contact for our clients, both existing and potential. As a Sales Representative one will be expected to facilitate a turnkey service in supplying solutions to our clients - which includes but is not limited to attending site inspections, providing technical advice, getting “hands on” operationally when required and ensuring clients specifications and requirements are met.

Qualification & Experience:

- Minimum 3 to 5 years external Sales experience required
- Competency in understanding and drawing up sales budgets
- Experience in drawing up Crane / Rigging studies and method statements
- Experience in logistics and setting up of Big Mobile Cranes
- Sound knowledge of the procurement processes, from quotation to invoicing
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety systems and practices
- Valid driver’s license
- Computer literacy is a requirement
- Relevant tertiary qualification will be an advantage
- Project Management experience in Mobile Crane; Rigging and Construction industries will be advantageous

Operational Requirements:

- Must be medically fit.

Key Tasks:

- Align the business focus with client’s requirements.
- Expand the company’s customer base.
- Negotiation of improved rates, long-term Sales agreements.
- Strong focus on the marketing, customer satisfaction and contribution to overall operations team.
- Maintain existing business relationships
- Must be able to match customer requirements to business plans/solutions
- Effectively communicate client needs to the operations team to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
- Available to travel after hours and weekends
- Early start, Late finish
- Ability to give instructions to staff
- Submitting reporting documents (Call sheets, Site Survey forms, Forecasting monthly targets and Pipeline.)
- Taking calls 24/7 and assisting clients when needed (site inspection for breakdowns at any time of the day or night.
- Working on weekends
