ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

- 1 to 3 YEARS (or more) experience as a Ladieswear Merchandiser or Buyer, Within a Fashion Retail or Supplier type environment
- Fashion related Degree or Diploma.

Brief Job Outline:

- Dealing with Buyer queries and communication thereof
- Calling on Buyers as per their product requirements.
- Maintaining and Building long term, successful supplier relationships
- Communicating comprehensive and concise tech packs and costing enquiries to suppliers.
- Liaising with Design teams regarding design requirements; design amendments; tech packs; TD’s and Cads etc.
- Preparation of tech packs - sample; Mini Cad; TD; Swatches; Style details and requirements.
- Line Showings and follow up sales meetings scheduled timeously
- Attendance of Line Showings, taking notes and compiling detailed style briefs per buyers requirements.
- Effective Management, negotiation and communication of extensions, cancellations, per-sorts, splits, reductions, discounts and required amendments to orders with Buyers.
- Costing and communication - dealing with buyers queries
- Weekly SMR sales up-dates and analysis
- Costing and enquires - all costing to be verified by the Merchandise Manager
- Effective and efficient negotiations with suppliers; refining costing until they are suitable for the specific brand, delivering the required company factors as set out prior to start of season.
- Costing of styles across fabric weights; construction; various levels of styling and finishing (washing etc.)
- Facilitating the QA Process - ensuring Customer QA comments are actioned timeously and accurately.
- PPS Process - Approval of all style specific submissions including fabric, colours, trims, embroideries, prints placements, wash etc. as per buyer requirements.
- Follow up with buyer for written approvals on all design specific requirements per the above.
- Implementation and close scrutiny of the PPS process, ensuring reports are completed; suppliers are communicated too and the company policies are enforced regarding inferior quality and shipping.
- PPS pack (QA; PPS and Shipping sample) - to be compiled and provided to the warehouse timeously.
- Approval of all style specific submissions from suppliers (colour; trims; embroideries; prints; placements etc.) as part of a Production team (QA; Design; Coordination) as per buyer requirements.
- Tracking deliveries - prioritizing tight deliveries by communication with warehouse.
- Purchase orders to be completed; allocated indents and checked thoroughly.
- Consistent and accurate use of the sample tracking system.

**Salary**: R12,000 to R16,000 Cost to company per month (please note that salary is dependent on years of relevant experience, relevant product and industry experience, tertiary education, skills, etc.)
