As a Power BI Consultant you will work on cutting edge Microsoft cloud technologies in our Business Intelligence and Artificial Intelligence team. Implementing modern data platforms and visualizations means leveraging existing Microsoft technologies (Power BI, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Data Lakes and Azure Machine Learning), developing and managing data pipelines, deploying machine learning models and creating dashboards. You will be working in environments including, but not limited to Microsoft 365, Microsoft Power Platform, and Microsoft Azure.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Gather business requirements (able to have workshops with users to identify and document requirements)
- Design and document an appropriate Microsoft data platform solution based on the defined information architecture, and functional and non-functional requirements of the clients.
- Provide technical expertise regarding the unique features and constraints of Power BI and related technologies.
- Participate in development and design architecture.
- Manage and develop data pipelines, machine learning models and dashboards with Power BI, Azure SQL, and Azure Data Factory.
- Participate in business development initiatives and assist with pre-sales activities.
- Provide best practice recommendations relating to deployments and usage.

**Education / Experience**:

- Completion of an undergrad degree in Computer Science or a recognized equivalent.
- Matric (essential)
- Experience of Microsoft Power BI, DAX, SQL Database and Power Query or equivalent tools.
- Experience in data integration (ETL/ELT) and data warehousing techniques (star schema).
- Knowledge/Experience of Big Data techniques considered an asset.
- Knowledge/Experience of Azure Machine Learning, Azure Data Factory and other Azure offerings is considered an asset.
- A minimum of 3 years experience managing and developing data pipelines and dashboards.
- Experience in python and machine learning is considered an asset.
